Life Verse Series

Happy Sunday!

I routinely ask friends what their "life verse" is or a scripture that has been particularly meaningful to them.

 

 I decided- why not make them into lovely prints to put on a desk or a wall?

Can anyone recommend a verse they would like to be next?

Weekly Verse

My old church family has a wonderful daily habit- reading the bible everyday.

A little old, a little new, a psalm and a proverb.

One of my resolutions this year was to pick a verse a week from the daily readings to turn into a print to share with you all.

Hope this is helpful for all those who worry as I do.

Comparison

I often find myself comparing my work to others and thinking it is not where it should be. That I should be so much better at this point and there are others with work I'll never be able to replicate. I know these are little comments buzzing around my head and they should not bother me as they do. 

I start classes in less than a week where I will probably be critiqued and have to defend my work every day. In order to ground myself and have faith in my style and its worth- I made up a little quote doodle to hang above my desk so I can see it easily. 

Any fellow artists have a problem with comparison?

Today is dedicated to rest and reading.

I've been singing the phrase above all week so I made a little something.
