The Loo

Bathrooms are never very exciting but I felt weird not posting ours when I've posted everything else.

Ombre shower curtain- it's actually a little more turquoise but you get the idea.

How can I make this space look better?
Cute laundry basket though!
Our bed- nothing on the walls yet

Close up of the amazing quilt Alan's Aunt Sue made him.

Guest Bed / Studio

Our bookshelf
 Little inspiration board
 Tiny colorful gallery wall

This room is a gray lavender which I've never had to work with before so I'm kind of stumped when it comes to decorating. I haven't decided on a bedspread and I have a huge blank wall to hang something on as well- so I didn't include a picture of that part of the room yet. I'm thinking of making a few felted ball garlands to overlap instead of a painting on the blank wall....hmmmmmm!

The Kitchen

 Our sweet little stove.
Limited counter/cupboard space so I had to get a little creative...

1. Hang the teacups
2. Display the silverware in little square glass vases
3. Display favorite cookbooks (yes they are conflicting- french cooking vs vegan raw)
Display the pots and pans- like Julia Child, maybe one day they will all be copper!
 Vintage Aprons from Alan's grandmother.
Our little mint table with a beautiful mirror from my friend Rachel's grandmother.
I have always had a twinge of jealousy for those who had a table who always have it set complete with placemats, silverware and dishes.

It's the little things!

The Living Room

Here is where we spend most of our time.

We had this huge frame so we thought, "Hmmmm...let's frame our TV!" We put a piece of mat board in the frame and behind the TV to make it seem more like a picture.

One of two ceramic peasants I found at a yard sale.
I love that they were only 50 cents.

Some classics.

A few favorite books and a bunch of ribbon from my trip to NYC in a little dome.

Some wonderful DVDs and a few poppies on a turtle shell plate.

Isn't the paint texture interesting? It was completely by accident but I kind of loved it.

Fuzzy picture but this is the overall set up.

Seating area...and yes we have walls and windows the lighting is just odd in this photo.

Hooray for floating hat technology right?
